Construction of the over-billow and under-billow piers –Construction time: 1982 - 1985
For the construction of the new tourist and fishing boats harbour of Porto San Giorgio, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, the Cooperative for the Harbour Works of Porto S.Giorgio was set up and Grandi Lavori Fincosit became the Leader.
The works included the casting construction of the under-billow and over-billow piers with reef made of natural rocks of first and second category and a series of tetrapodes for a total length of 1.467m, 1.153 of which to protect the back embankment made of materials coming from borrow pits and a number of wharfs made of artificial concrete rocks with a length of 1.450 m. Moreover, some internal docks were constructed together with their furnishing for a length of 1.460m and also some roads and yards.
